According to my mother, the story goes that at my 5 year old check up, the doctor asked me to draw a person and when they got more than a stick figure back on paper he looked at her and said "I believe you have an artist".

Born and raised in Bluffton, part of the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry, I continued my pursuit of art to the College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. I took a winding road of many career paths before finally walking back down the one I believe God intended for me all along and I am so grateful to get to enjoy the gift of painting daily now.

I'm inspired by my surroundings, usually painting from pictures I've taken out on the boat or driving down the road. My style ebbs between realism and a touch of whimsy. I'm drawn to detail but also love to use loose strokes and vibrant color to evoke a feeling of joy and lightheartedness that I experience while painting.
